Our new wine, Lenoir, is a celebration of both tradition and collaboration. Made from 100% Lenoir grapes, this unique vintage is the product of our strong partnership with our friends at Lenoir ATX. Together, we’ve crafted a wine that speaks to the heritage of the grape and the Texas Hill Country terroir.

Lenoir, also known as Black Spanish, has a storied history dating back to its roots in the southern United States, where it became well-suited to warm climates. The varietal was prized for its resilience and deep, dark fruit characteristics, making it a favorite for generations of winemakers. At The Austin Winery, we’ve embraced this legacy through whole cluster fermentation, a technique that preserves the grape’s natural structure and tannins, adding complexity and depth to the final wine.

The grapes are hand-picked and meticulously sorted from Banff Vineyards, nestled on the slopes of Lake Travis. This attention to detail ensures that only the finest fruit makes it into each bottle. With an alcohol content of 11.6%, this wine is both approachable and vibrant, offering layers of rich fruit balanced by a refreshing acidity. Each bottle is proudly produced and bottled at The Austin Winery, capturing the spirit of collaboration, craft, and local pride.
